Agricultural labourer Robert Chisholm lived in Rerrick, possibly Auchencairn, with his first wife Christina McDougall. They had two children: James and Mary. A couple of years following the death of Christina, Robert married Isabella Thomson. Robert and Isabella had one child: Robert, in Kirkcudbright
