Alexander Nish Skimming or McSkimming and his wife Catherine Wilson lived in Dalry, Dumfries and Greenock between the late 1800's and early 1900's. Alexander was a railway porter. Alexander and Catherine had four children: John, Robert, Mary and Margaret. Their son John emigrated to Canada in 1929.
