James Skimming and Catherine Marr lived in Blackcraig, Minnigaff and Leadhills, Lanarkshire in the 19th Century. James was a lead miner, he died at the age of 37 in Leadhills. James and Catherine had six children: Henrietta, Robert, James, Janet, Jane and Martha.
