D'Silva Family Tree

I have not been able to go back very far with D'Silva family line. This surname suggests that their origins may have been Portuguese or native Indian given a Portuguese surname on conversion to Christianity.

In Colonial times, the Portuguese ruled the state of Goa in south west India and so any ecclesiastic records would not have been sent back to London. This would explain why no records can be found at the British Library before the baptisms of Francis and Christina's children.
